Producer & Photographer
Here you’ll find a selection of my work in film photography and filmmaking. I’m currently an MA Filmmaking student at Manchester Metropolitan University, with a strong interest in producing. I’ve been shooting film for over 10 years and have a range of industry experience as a writer, director, producer, AD, and AC. Additionally I have many of my own projects that I’ve created, and a long list of future projects I plan to bring to life.
Film
Here you’ll find a selection of films that I have either created or worked on. In this section I’ve chosen to show a variety of unscripted projects, including documentary and commercial.
Jac’s First Tattoo - youtube.com/@rosiebruce
A short film I made to test out a camera I’d just bought, documenting my friend Jackie getting her first tattoo in our hostel in Mexico from someone was also staying there.
Maclean & Bruce - Copper Sprocket
A short film by the production company Copper Sprocket for their client Maclean & Bruce, showcasing luxury travel and tourism in Scotland. On this project I worked as 1st AC.
UK Farmer Protest - Pigeon Network
Pigeon Network are an independent group of journalists focused on documenting out of the ordinary mass gatherings. For this project, I was 1st AC.
Summer 2017 - youtube.com/@rosiebruce
This is one of my decade’s worth of “home videos” which can be found on my YouTube. They’re silly and lighthearted and capture the beauty of my friendships. It brings me great joy to create these and to have documented so much of my life so far.
The Frog and Bucket - youtube.com/rosiebruce
As part of the first semester of my Masters, I produced a documentary on the comedy club where I work, showcasing the talent behind a hospitality team and their wider hopes and dreams. Being able to document where I am in at the time is important to me in my practice. This was an independent project for me, with help from an AC and an AD.
I recently had the opportunity to produce a short film titled ‘Reservations’ as part of my MA FIlmmaking course in collaboration with the writing school and Factory International Manchester.
This was my first experience producing a film on this scale.
While it came with it’s challenges, it solidified my desire to continue producing, and subsequently led to additional opportunities to produce on two exciting films, which are currently in production.
photography
My work has always been inspired by the people around me and the places we find ourselves, and so the majority of photos are of young queer people in Scotland. I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by captivating and unique individuals who have allowed me to use and abuse their likeness in the name of my art.
Youth and the messiness that surrounds growing up as a girl is one of my favourite things to see represented in media, and a lot of my earlier photography is reflective of that. I spent those years trying to capture and document my friends and I chasing that initial freedom you find in your teens.
A natural progression from here was shooting nightlife and so as I left my teens my focus shifted towards queer culture. This allowed me to produce some of my favourite images and lead to the start of having my work published. From drag queens to DJs to party goers, my catalogue of nightlife is vast.

Additional
As of April 2026, I am producing three films that are in production, and have a further two going into production over the Summer months.
I’ve also been lucky enough to produce films for Factory International and the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester, both celebrating the talents of the North.
I plan to continue producing once I graduate and am excited to continue collaberating and expanding my network.
